We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Dr Thompson as a Partner at the Practice. He joins Drs Rea, Outram, Bhimpuria and Patel in the leadership and support of our growing team working to deliver a service that effectively meets the needs of our patients.

Dr Leonard will unfortunately be taking long term leave over the coming months. This leave period commences with effect from 27th March and any patients with an existing appointment in April will be contacted by reception to re-book. We know that Dr Leonard will be missed during this time but we ask that patients book with an alternative GP who will be able to meet your needs during her absence.

Dr Pollock will be working with us 3 days a week from June onwards and we now have a fully recruited nursing team. As a result we have been able to resume the provision of travel vaccinations but please allow 6-8 weeks before travel to let us know of your plans so that our Nurses have adequate time to make arrangements.

Through our Primary Care Network we have a team of qualified Pharmacists and Pharmacy technicians who can help with medication queries, a social prescriber who can help with non-clinical matters and health and wellbeing coaches who provide lifestyle advice and support. We also have a Frailty team consisting of 2 paramedics, an occupational therapist and physiotherapist, all of whom are working with patients to prevent unnecessary admissions and provide care in accordance with patients preferences.

We are in the process of arranging an upgrade to our telephone system which will provide additional functionality to improve the patient experience. All routine GP and Physio appointments are bookable via the NHS App which also enables patients online access to order repeat medications and view results and/or medical records in full.

We have recently updated our website provider with a service that is more mobile friendly. We hope that this makes it easier for patients to access information about our services.

Our GP Federation now offer Enhanced Access GP, Nurse and HCA appointments from Alconbury on evenings and week-ends, please just ask reception to book these at your convenience.
