Repeat Prescriptions – Information

Methods of ordering your Repeat Prescriptions

If you regularly take some type of prescribed medication, you will be given a repeat prescription request form. About one week before you need more treatment, please send us your request using one of the methods listed below:

  • Via the NHS App – Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is the most simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. The NHS App is available now on iOS and Android.
  • NHS Online Login – You can view your current repeat medication and order the items you require. This is for patients who have a NHS login.
  • Patient Access – Patients are able to order repeat prescriptions directly through this site using the above link if you are already registered on Patient Access.
  • By repeat slip or on paper – You can send or take your repeats slip to the surgery that you would normally attend at least two working days before you require them.
  • If you are requesting medication for someone under 16, are a housebound patient or have previously agreed with the Surgery you can use the form below.
  • Requests for repeat prescriptions at Brampton may be left by selecting the answerphone on 01480 454050.
  • Requests for repeat prescriptions at Alconbury may be left on our dispensary answerphone on 01480 891991.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

Please allow 72 hours, (not including weekends and Bank Holidays), for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.

Dispensing

We may dispense to patients living more than one mile from a pharmacy. Our dispensary is located at our Alconbury Surgery and is open during surgery hours. Patients with special needs living within one mile of a pharmacy may apply to Pharmaceutical Advisor for NHS Cambridgeshire for dispensing by the practice.

Non-dispensing patients registered at Alconbury or Brampton can request to make use of the pick up and delivery service offered by the following local chemists: Alconbury Chemist, Boots, Halls Chemist, Sainsburys and Tesco Pharmacy.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

Dispensing patients registered at Brampton will need to allow longer than 48 hours for collection. Newly registering patients to whom we can dispense may find it more beneficial to register at Alconbury.
